Follow the steps below to grant access to your content from a non-LMS external platform or through direct email invitation:
- Click the New Invitation button.
- In the appearing tab, fill in the client’s internal reference or code, its name, and, optionally, a description.
- Now, decide what type of invitation you want to create:
- Private (invitation email): use this option if your client has no platform and prefers to invite end-users directly via email. These users will be able to access the specified content directly through scormPROXY, acting as an LMS.
- Public (direct link): use this option if your client has some non-LMS platform (website, intranet, ERP, etc.) and wants to share the content so it can be viewed directly from those platforms. In this case, a link (URL) will be generated that needs to be integrated into the client’s platform.
- Finally, in the Geographical Zone dropdown, you can select the zone where your client is located to serve content from the nearest location.
- Click the Save button, and the invitation will be added to the list.
- An assistant will then indicate that this client does not yet have assigned licenses. Click the Yes button to continue and set which content this client will have access to and how many available or assigned licenses this client will have.
- In the dialog that appears, you can view the folder structure of the [Connectors] section, where all your connectors are organized. Select the folder and locate the product you created in a previous step.
- Check the product and at the bottom, enter the number of available licenses you want to assign to this client for the selected product(s). You must also specify the duration of the licenses, and optionally, you can specify a deadline from which no user can access the selected product(s).
- Click the Add button, and see how in the list of licenses assigned to this client, you now have access to the connector you created earlier with the specified number of licenses.
- The next steps depend on the type of invitation you created:
- If the invitation is of type “Private” (via email):
- Click the Invite Users button to access the invited users’ panel
- Click the Add button to manually add users, or click the Import button to import the list of users from a CSV file.
- Follow the instructions, and when you’re done with the list of guests, click the Send Invitations button to send the email to the selected users. You can modify the title and body of the message that will be sent. Once satisfied, click the Send Invitation button.
- Users will receive an email with all the details to access the scormPROXY LMS and the specified content.
- If the invitation is of type “Public” (via link):
- Select a product from the list of assigned licenses and click the View/Copy Links button at the bottom.
- In the dialog that appears, as many links as elements the selected product/connector has will be displayed.
- Click the [copy icon] to copy each link to the clipboard.
- Share these links with the client who has a non-LMS platform for them to integrate into their platform. Follow the instructions in this dialog for a complete integration that does not require users to log in to scormPROXY.
