2. General Settings

In the General Settings section, you can configure the general aspects of the portal that will apply to all your clients. Later, when you enable access to the portal for your clients, you can configure more specific aspects for each of them.

In the Frontpage Text block, you can customize the text that appears on the home page of the Portal and that your clients will see after logging in.

In the Footer Text block, you can enter text that will appear in the footer of the portal. This text is optional and can be used, for example, to include your contact information.

In the Invitation Email block, you can customize the template of the invitation email message that will be sent to your clients when you enable the portal for them. You can freely modify the text and use the special variables enclosed in braces to insert the corresponding value.

For example, the code {URL_PORTAL} refers to the web address where the login page of your customer portal is located, and you can use it to instruct your client on where to go to access the portal.

You can see the URL of your portal at the top right of the general configuration screen.

In the text box Site Name, you can specify the name of your company or product. This text will appear in the invitation emails and also in the browser’s title bar.

You can upload an image with your logo in the Site Logo block by clicking the Change button. This image will appear on the login screen of your customer portal.

In the text box Support Email, you can include your contact email for technical support, and you can later use this value in the invitation email template using the variable {EMAIL_SUPPORT}.

Finally, you can include the URL of your website in the text box Corporate URL, and you can later use this value in the invitation email template using the variable {URL}.

Before continuing, it’s crucial to click the Save Settings button at the bottom right to save any changes you have made to the configuration.

♠ Once you have finished the general configuration, you can go to the Clients section to enable the portal for each client you want to grant access.
